The sixth international kite workshop has take place in Apeldoorn in The Netherlands November 10th, 11th and 12th 2006. The fieldresearchcentre Woldhuis was for the second time the place were Collectors, Historicans and curious Kitersfriends and collegues came together. The 2006 workshop had the same Porgram as in 2004: presentations by three specialists and building of an historical kite. This time we build  reasonable well known kite. It originates from the early 50's and was constructed and designed in England by Alick Pearson. He was one of the members of the kite flyers group that flew at 'The Round Pond, Kensington Gardens, London'. The kite is a variation on the Steiff Roloplan and is called the 'Pearson Roller' .  We build a smaller one (1.20 m) and provided the participants with the material for a second one that is a bit bigger (2.00 m).. The Workshop was organized in close co-operation with The Drachen Foundation Seattle USA.
